UCLA GAME

We went to a UCLA game today.  It was SOOOOOO hot, but it was fun.  It is really pretty out there around the Rose Bowl area.  They didn't win, so Jason was pretty bummed, but we had fun either way.

Nick broke his arm last night. :(

We spent several hours in Urgent Care then, another couple hours in ER at CHOC hospital.  It was a long and sad night.  Today we went to the orthopedic surgeon.  They removed the splint he got last night and put a cast on it.  He has been such a good trooper, but he is sad and in pain, and uncomfortable.  It will be a challenging few weeks, but we are thankful.  It could have been worse.

1st day of Junior High

WOW.....How the heck did my kids get to be old enough for Junior High?!

I have to admit, I was a baby last week.  I think it was harder on me than kindergarten.  It was just so "real" to me that they are growing up.  They are little men now.  :(  We are so blessed that they are remaining such good boys and maintaining the values that we have instilled in them.

Weekend

 This weekend was the boy's first soccer game of the season. 

They tied 3 to 3.  It was a great game.

The boys and I went to Seattle over the weekend and got home Wednesday.  I had to go to Washington for work, so i took the boys with me and my sister Deanna just happen to be out there at the same time, so she watched the boys while i worked, and then at night and on the weekend, we had time to do things and i got to visit my friend Stephanie.  It was a nice last minute, end of summer trip.
